
WE SET CAREERS IN MOTION
Southern Alberta Collegiate Institute (SACI) is a hands-on learning hub located in Lethbridge on the Lethbridge Polytechnic Campus. We provide students in grades 7-12 across south west Alberta with the opportunity to explore career pathways in the fields of Trades, Agriculture, and Healthcare through exploratory, work-integrated learning, workplace certification and dual credit programming.
SACI is a team effort between seven local school divisions, Lethbridge Polytechnic, and CAREERS & Career Transitions. By working together, we connect classrooms with real-world learning and dual-credit options so students can explore careers and smoothly transition to college or the workforce.
E3 - Explore • Engage • Experience – This program focuses on exploratory
events and programs for grades 7 to 9 to inspire future thinking, lay a foundation for successful transitions, and equip them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in various career opportunities.
Dual Credit (DC) - these courses provide Grade 10-12 students the opportunity to take approved post-secondary courses,simultaneously earning credit at both high school and post-secondary levels that count toward a post-secondary certificate, diploma, degree, including a journey person certificate.
Together, E3 and DC help students discover strengths, build skills, and step confidently toward what’s next.

Work-integrated Learning, Volunteer Opportunities and Community Organizations – Work internships provided in collaboration with CAREERS as well as a variety of volunteer roles provide youth the opportunity to explore workplace settings first-hand as they begin to conceptualize the trajectory of their career education pathway and build core competencies.
